Liven Up Your Party with Frosted and Purse Style Boxes

Plastic boxes are a convenient way to store and display confectionary sweets, candy and cupcakes in particular. Single or double cupcake holders come in an array of colors and shapes, with square boxes and dome holders being the most frequent. Typical cupcake box sizes are 4 x 4 x 4 inches; these small containers usually come in sets of up to 100.

Check that the lock on each box stays closed, and that the back hinge is sturdy enough so as not to break with repeated use. These small plastic boxes are disposable, but you can also reuse them several times as needed; the only thing is to wash them carefully with a soft, non-abrasive cleaner, as they are not dishwasher safe.

One final point to consider: if you will be using your presentation/ favor boxes to display food items or to offer treats to party guests, only purchase containers that are made from BPA-free, food grade PET plastic.

Add a little frost

Frosted boxes are the answer whenever you are tired of that typical clear plastic box look. Colored and clear frosted boxes come in a variety of shapes, including plastic pillow, tent, and gable boxes. Aside from their beautiful frosted finish, some of these containers have additional features that render them even prettier, such as flower tops. They are therefore the perfect choice for parties, showers and weddings.

But things get even better: Additional uses of frosted boxes include organizing makeup, nail polish, and toiletries in the bathroom or bedroom, keeping medicines in order, as well as organizing your supplies for scrapbooking, art and craft projects. Or, use them as small lunch boxes. Either way, containers of different colors will hold your things while enabling you to identify them easily without the need for labels.

There are also the purse style plastic boxes which are great for parties, but also in shops for merchandising purposes. They can be clear or colored (white, pink, lavender), with some opening from the top, and others on the side. While most versions have plastic handles, you can get some with ribbon, cord or wire handles as well.
